STAGE ONE
As we started our first week at SEA the faculty introduced us to a surrealist poet
'Andre Breton'. After the faculty grouped ,8 members in each group. We were to read a poem written by Andre Breton and draw our ideas ,thoughts and what we feel after reading the poem. My group and I read 'Freedom of Love' also known as 'Union Libre'.
First we drew these drawings but as we were using some symbols to represent things. We had to remove the symbols so we drew different iterations of our ideas and finally got a satisfying result.
This is the end result of our drawing.
STAGE TWO
As we finished the drawing, we started making human sized models. It was a good experience personally for me as I enjoyed the process. We as a group tried to create an environment where a person can feel different types of textures and feel something through it. We used slit bamboos, papers, leaves, cotton, jute, etc. A person can walk inside the structure and feel the environment through touching it and watching it.
